Alan Baxley discovered his passion for trucking at the age of 11 as he watched his father purchase his first dump truck in 1970. Following in his footsteps, Alan bought his own Ford Triaxle in 1980 and, at only 20 years old, founded Alan Baxley Inc. After relocating operations from Lumberton to Wilmington in 1990, Alan quickly became a staple in the local hauling community, known for his reliability and dedication to the industry. ​​In the early years, he proudly called himself a “one-man show,” handling scheduling, driving, and mechanic work on his own. Since then, the company has grown to a fleet of more than 20 trucks and was purchased in 2025 by Nick Svab, owner of A.C. King Clearing and Grading. Now operating as Alan Baxley Trucking LLC, the company continues to thrive as a trusted name in Wilmington and beyond.
